We specialise in ensuring mature mountain bikers (like ourselves) enjoy their mountain biking here in New Zealand, we are social riders; we spend plenty of time taking in the views and chewing over stories, giving the legs a rest at the same time.

We have designed tours which will appeal to experienced mountain bikers who are looking for adventure and enjoy a challenging ride with good company led by guides of a similar age and attitude. The rides are generally classified as intermediate grade 3 but require a moderate to high fitness level because of the terrain and distances travelled.

We run small group tours of four to eight people; (we also run special tours for couples) all our tours have two guides which gives us lots of options for shuttle runs on the end to end trails. We encourage groups to book with us by offering discounts for group bookings, (friends/club members) who then know each other’s capability which in turn makes our job easier to tailor the riding to the group.

We are mountain bikers who love to go mountain biking, both locally and to all the different locations around New Zealand. Over many years we have ridden on the longest trails in the country, single track rides that roll along for a 100km … We have mountain biked on the highest trails in New Zealand, 2000m up in the mountains. We have been to remote places on multi day expeditions, with only a wooden hut for shelter until morning. We have ridden all the major trails in the far reaches of New Zealand, many of those are truly stunning rides, epic adventures; others can be a bog-fest on a bad day, from our collective knowledge of New Zealand’s back country trails we can ‘cherry pick’ these trails to ensuring that you ride the very best during your visit.

We specialise only in mountain biking trips, our knobblies touch the tarmac from time to time but no more than necessary; off road, single track riding is our passion. We have all been involved with our local MTB clubs for many years and know what it takes to turn a regular mountain biking ride into a Real Mountain Biking Adventure.

Somewhere or something you want to see or do… then we will try and fit that in on passing. FLEXIBILITY is the word on this tour, a particular ride you have read about; we’ll see what we can do. Weather not so good on the west coast, then we head east, windy in the high country, then we will find some sheltered riding.
